Geneva, 1 October 2007. Within the framework of the joint Capacity Building Programme for Local Authorities in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, UNITAR and UN-HABITAT organized a second mission to Palestine between the 26th August and the 14th September, 2007. A comprehensive account, of the purpose of the mission, the activities undertaken, and the priorities identified for subsequent action, is presented in the attached UNITAR mission report.
Following the activities undertaken within the context of this mission, the first stage of the Capacity Building Programme has been successfully concluded. Information on the implementation of the Programme’s next stage will be made available on UNITAR’s website on a regular basis.
